CEOACH was asked to study a European market entry. It quickly became apparent that, while the objective of market diversification was attractive, it was supported neither by the company's strategy nor its value proposition. CEOACH activity turned into a strategic review of the company's value offering and a full fledged structured SWOT analysis, including R&D, products, services, customer relationships, and distribution channels.
As a result, it became clear that the organization was optimally designed to serve its current customer base (Japanese clients worldwide), but would need to adapt considerably before considering the European market entry. CEOACH subsequently developed, with the client, a detailed action plan to successfully address these weaknesses
